Annotated Bibliography:
Mayer, G. “Kleine-Levin Syndrome
Long-term Treatment of 15 German Patients.” Somnologie
– Schlafforschung Und Schlafmedizin 17.1 (2013): 34-38. Print.

What is so great about this source is unlike others, while important nonetheless, is that it gives insight on a case study of 15 patients rather than mere description of the disorder. It is important to find case studies because there is no cure nor medicine.

Lisk, D. R. "Kleine-Levin Syndrome." Practical Neurology 9.1 (2009): 42-45. Print.

Similar to the preceding source, this source is not solely superficial; rather, it provides information pertaining to the disorder in addition to tracking a patient diagnosed with KLS. It discusses the difficulty in getting a proper diagnosis, first-hand experiences, and the history of KLS.

"KLS Foundation - Kleine Levin Syndrome Foundation." KLS Foundation RSS. N.p., n.d. Web. 24 Nov. 2013. <http://klsfoundation.org/>.

This is arguably the most useful, informative, educational, and coherent source I have found and used. It is the disorder’s organization webpage that provides information about the disorder, sufferers’ blogs, media sources, doctors, and other relevant resources for friends and families of sufferers, researchers, and patients. It is also a great source to use as a gateway to finding other sources.

"Kleine-Levin Syndrome (KLS)." Kleine-Levin Syndrome. N.p., n.d. Web. 24 Nov. 2013. <http://med.stanford.edu/psychiatry/narcolepsy/KLS.html>.
|
Stanford is the only institution doing research on KLS. This source provides current news on their studies and new discoveries. While the subject pool is small because of the rareness of this disorder and because the study is relatively new they have yet to discover something “new”, but hopefully in the near future they unearth something great.

Arnulf, I. "Kleine-Levin Syndrome: A Systematic Review of 186 Cases in the Literature." Brain 128.12 (2005): 2763-776. Print.

Again, this is a great, in-depth journal discussing hundreds of KLS cases. While the writing is dense, the overall message, observations, and conclusions are hugely beneficial in my research.
